It's not PI55 OFF is it? I guess they won't release it due to its similarity to P155 OFF.

Of course, it could always be TO55 POT?

You can not put a 55 plate on your car if your car is not a 55 model :(
Dvla say that you can not make a car seem newer than it is, but you can make it look older :?
Ask before you buy

If it is a desirable number - they will only put it in the auction when the 55 numbers are released.
Rain or shine - topless is fine!!

I know that, but I could if I waited until the 55 reg was out to buy a new car, I just want to reserve the plate!

PI55 OFF wouldnt be a '55' reg - I's aren't included

To answer the question you can register interest with DVLA about plates which haven't been released yet - like i did with mine. they will phone/email/write to you when the plate is available.

bear in mind that if you do this, they know the plate is wanted - they stuck a £500 reserve on mine (and £500 at auction means about £750 on the car! my hammer price was £800 but the plate cost me £1100 in total  )
